past…
After 20 years in Dallas, Texas attempting to play sports as a kid, being a drama and clarinet-playing band geek in high school, performing in school musicals, and working as a pharmacy technician after graduation, Mandy Dembach ventured off to San Diego, California for Mexican food, coffee shops, palm trees, carefree hippies, and weather never below 40 degrees. While in San Diego, she studied photography and graphic design, became a mobile pet groomer as a side job while in college, completed photo and design internships, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of California. This little piece of paper led her on to become an Executive Graphic Designer at a local media company. But that’s not all, nope not at all! Mandy captured photos of bands, participated in art shows and festivals, painted a panda on a utility box for San Diego county, participated in a breast cancer walk, fed orphaned children in Tijuana, Mexico, advocated for equal rights, learned to throw pottery, became a bicycle whore, sang religiously in her car (yes she was the girl you always turned to laugh at while sitting at traffic lights), and decided after 12 years of consistency that she wanted more! So she had a yard sale, packed the remains, sold her car, and flew cross-country with her little yorkie-poo, Brownie, (to Brooklyn, NY to be exact), where she now enjoys shoveling snow, humidity, subways, and all things “hipster!” This all begin in the summer of 2009.

NOW…
A designer in love with creativity, for whom music and art (as well as ping pong, bowling, and reading) are always the passion, Mandy also likes to pay the rent and eat, which is why she currently works in NYC as a Specialist at Apple Inc. If she’s not at work, she is most likely: in a park letting her little dog run around and flirt with every person vegging in the sun (Brownie's a pimp); on a rooftop checking out the skyline; enjoying a New York pizza pie; painting some sort of inspirational art piece; strumming on her Ovation guitar; shooting club photos; or playing with her new love--a camera app on iPhone 4 called Hipstamatic.

future…
One day Mandy will come back to her roots…literally. She will be free of student-loan debt and living in a redwood forest hugging trees. Till that time comes, you can enjoy cyber-stalking her on Twitter at http://twitter.com/blueyegrafix.
